Russell Carrington Wilson born in 1988 was not your typical NFL prospect. Undersized and overlooked by major programs his journey to football stardom unfolded like a fairy tale defying expectations at every turn. This is the story of a young man whose unwavering faith relentless work ethic and electrifying talent transformed him from underdog to Super Bowl champion and beyond. Wilson athletic roots took hold in Richmond Virginia where he honed his skills in baseball basketball and of course football. Despite his undeniable talent his diminutive stature left him off the radar of major college recruiters. Refusing to be discouraged Wilson embarked on a unique path playing for two smaller programs  North Carolina State and Wisconsin  before finally getting his shot in the 2012 NFL Draft.
