Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio (born November 11, 1974) is an American actor and film producer known for his work in biographical and period films.

DiCaprio first acted at age five, performing on the children's television show Romper Room and as a teenager he made numerous commercial and educational films.

In the mid-1990s DiCaprio began to attract a wider audience with more- mainstream films.
