Kennedy Miller Mitchell originally known as Kennedy Miller and Dr. D Studios are production companies co-founded by Miller. Since the passing of his original producing partner Byron Kennedy Millers younger brother Bill Miller and Doug Mitchell have produced nearly all of the movies of his later career.

Happy Feet earned Miller the 2006 Oscar Award for Best Animated Film (2006). He has had five other nominations for Academy Awards including Best Original Screenplay in 1992 for Lorenzos Oil Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay in 1995 for Babe and Best Picture and Best Director in 2017 for Mad Max Fury Road (2015).
