Gangaur is the Gauri Pooja.  Clay idols of Gauri representing Parvati are adorned with beautiful clothes and jewelry.  These idols along with a representation of Lord Shiva are then taken in a colorful procession often accompanied by folk dances and music.
Symbolism and Offerings The adorned idols of Gauri symbolize prosperity fertility and conjugal happiness.  Women offer Ghewar, a delectable sweet dish, and other traditional offerings.Gangaur is more than just a religious festival; it is a celebration of community spirit. People from all walks of life come together sharing stories laughter and delicious food.
