Alan Wolf Arkin (March 26, 1934 – June 29, 2023) was an American actor, director, and screenwriter. In a career spanning seven decades, he received various accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award.
Oscar winner Alan Arkin, the memorable character actor best known for his work on "Little Miss Sunshine" and Argo, died in California this week, family members said Friday. Arkin was 89 when he died Thursday in the San Diego County community of Carlsbad.
